You only have to look through my blog a little bit to get the idea that I love scallops! They are a treat, have great health benefits and they are easy to get right! Especially when you have a ready to use seasoning like maple bacon.... it's virtually like take out its so easy.
I simply took thawed scallops and placed them in a pan with some water, covered and steamed. Once these were nearly cooked I removed the water added a bit of oil and then generously sprinkled with maple bacon on both sides and turned to high heat to sear.
But on another note... if you are interested in a great place for quality seafood that gets shipped to you... try out these guys at Luke's Lobster.
In the mean time I created the aioli which was simply 1/2 cup of light mayonnaise, 1 tsp of lemon juice and about 1-2 Tbsp of maple bacon seasoning again. This was so easy it is literally the shortest post I have ever written..... the end!
