The Start to my Garden! Sowing Seeds
I have decent sized urban garden in my back yard and enjoy finding ways to "Make" healthy food with organic principles.
Now obviously that wasn't this year, but I can grow a decent amount of food for the C2's and my family! But there is no time like the present to get started. The West Coast or should I say "Wet coast" is a little unpredictable for starting seeds outside... so I don't... at least not yet!
I like to purchase my seeds from West Coast Seeds. They are from Ladner BC so I'm supporting a local company and they have the best variety of organic seeds that I have found! They have a cute little store but if I can't get out there they also mail direct to me!
I decided to start these on this particular day in individual seed starters. Using a seed blend for the best chance at seed yield!
I don't have a great window anywhere out of the way but I make due with heat lamps to keep these little guys warm being sure to lightly water regularly to not flood them but keep the soil moist!
The Pac Choi was the first to sprout and the start of my summer picnic blend lettuce and spinach! I'll keep you posted on my developments!
